Almotamar.net - Presidency of Sana’a University has affirmed Saturday that the university has no relationship with those small gatherings that are grouping outside the walls of the university tending to instigate violence and chaos under the banner of freedom of opinion and expression.
In a press statement received by the Almotamar.net the university presidency denied the existence of any relation of the university students and employees with those small gatherings that are driven by some political and partisan forces and aim to inflict damage on democracy, development, economy paths of investment and work on impeding interests of the citizens.
The university leadership has affirmed the university’s principled stand that enhances the values of democracy which is based on dialogue and respect of the people’s free will, proceeding from the constants, constitution and the law.
It drew the attention to the importance that all should comprehend realistic and logical concepts of political pluralism and duties and rights of citizenship on the basis of joint coexistence and the spread of the culture of love and fraternity and strengthening the patriotic sense with feelings of loyalty and affiliation of the homeland.
For their part the general secretariat of Yemen Students Union and the Teachers Union at the university called, in a press release, on the necessity of directing all to stabilize factors of stability, social peace and tracks of development as a genuine pillar for avoiding the country the conflicts.
