Almotamar.net - Tahrir Square and the streets and quarters around it in the Yemeni capital Sana’a has witnessed Friday, after Friday prayers, a massive rally followed by a massive march consisted of hundreds of thousands of citizens from various districts of the capital and neighbouring provinces.
The participants in the rally and the march have expressed their support to the historic initiative that President Ali Abdullah Saleh has announced at the joint meeting of the parliament and the shura council on the 2nd of this February and their support for his renewing his call for the comprehensive national council and their full rejection of the acts of chaos, violence and sabotage. The participants stressed the necessity of enhancing the national alignment for keeping security, stability, public peace and protection of the national constants.
The demonstrators have raised the national flags, pictures of the President and slogans supporting security, and stability and development and refusing chaos, destruction and refusing those create seditions, regionalism, crises and sectarianism.
The participants in the demonstration have chanted slogans expressing their rally behind the political leadership and their ever readiness to align with all sons of the homeland to protect the achievements f the revolution, the republic and the unity and for defending the national constants and foiling any conspiratorial plots.
