Almotamar.net - Sana’a-Almotamar.net has learned Saturday from well-informed political sources that leaderships of the ruling General People’s Congress (GPC) party in Yemen and the National Democratic Alliance Parties (NDAP) on Friday handed over to the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Latif al-Zayani, during his visit to Yemen, acceptance of the GPC and the NDAP of the GCC initiative.
The sources mentioned that the Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi officially handed over to al-Zayani the acceptance of the GCC initiative by the GPC and its allies in the NDAP.
The sources added that the GCC Secretary General had delivered the text of the initiative to the two sides and said it is not liable to amendment or addition and each side should specify its stance of acceptance or rejection.
On the other hand reliable sources revealed that the parties of the JMP have decided to refuse the GCC states initiative for solving the crisis in Yemen.
The sources said that the JMP argued in its refusing decision as it was in harmony with the stand of its supporters of the youth staging sit-in at the sit-in square.
Meanwhile, leaderships from parties of the JMP called on their supporters for escalation as part of their endeavors to abort the initiative of the GCC states.
