Almotamar.net - Sana’a – the General People’s Congress (GPC) and the National democratic Alliance Parties (NDAP) in Yemen have on Sunday condemned the criminal attack on al-Nahdain Mosque in the Presidency House on Friday while President Ali Abdullah saleh and senior officials of the state were performing Friday prayers and resulted in martyrdom of seven persons and the injury of a number of worshippers.
A statement by the GPC and he NDAP said that attack represented a dangerous escalating attempt the conspirators wanted the assassination of democratic life, peaceful transfer of power and assassination of security, stability and social peace, violating sanctities of God by launching their killing machine to limits extended to worshipping places and in a mosque where the President and the state leadership were performing the Friday prayers.
The statement demanded all political forces, civil organisations and various segments of the people to condemn this attack and to confront all acts of violence, chaos, sabotage and terror and to face those carrying them out.
While the statement expressed condolences on the souls of martyrs and wished recovery of the injured, it demanded quick chasing and arresting perpetrators of this crime and handing them over to judiciary in order to receive their punishment.
