Almotamar.net - Sana’a- Team Vice President Abed Rabou Mansour Hadi on Wednesday received the visiting team of the UN High Commission for Human Rights led by Hani al-Majali.
In the meeting the Vice President got acquainted with results of the team visit to Yemen and its meetings with officials in the state, the opposition, civil society organisations and pro regime and opposition sit-inners camp sites.
The UN officials said his team visited the provinces of Taiz, Aden and Ibb and got acquainted with the way of life and nature of activities under the current circumstances, pointing out the team’s visit aimed to assess the situations in different areas in order to assist in improving the life circumstances in compatibility with safeguarding human rights.
Vice President Hadi praised the efforts exerted by the team , indicating that he has given his directives to different sides in the provinces in enabling the team in its visit that it suggest and there should be assessment in it.
Hadi said, “We hope that the assessment focuses on the basis of the Yemeni reality and what it means of crises and crucial circumstances, “wishing the UN understanding of that and to work as much as possible to assist Yemen for coming out of the present crisis.
The Vice President affirmed that all pending issues in reforms and improvement of their levels, indicating that the existing circumstances need serious cures at different political, security and economic levels and sincere efforts must be exerted by all political parties, organisations and social personalities and all the honest in the homeland.
The meeting was attended by the General People’s Congress (GPC) Assistant Secretary General for External Affairs Sultan al-Barakani. Minister for Legal Affairs Dr Rashad al-Rassas and Head of the Office of Mass Organisations at the GPC Hussein al-Hamdani

Saudi aggression warplanes have launched more than 49 airstrikes over the past hours on several residential areas across Yemen, a security official said on Sunday.
The airstrikes targeted the areas of Malahiz and Husama in Dhahir district, and areas Thuban, Masahif and Sdad in Bakim district of northern Saada province.
