The 6th anti-polio campaign was kicked off on Saturday in all governorates to implemented during the period 12-14 Nov.
The campaign, being organized by the ministry of Public Health and Population in cooperation with International Health Organization (IHO) and UNICEF, targets about four million children under five-year old.
40,000 health workers and volunteers are participating in the campaign under supervision of about 9,000 field-supervisors supplied with 9,000 cars and about 22 pediatricians to monitor and train the vaccination teams.
The director general of vaccination in the ministry D. Mohammed Al-Emad said that there are many experts from the regional office of the IHO and its headquarters would evaluate the progress of the vaccination.
