Sheikh al-Shaef affirmed that the democratic societies tender their resignations in the event of their parties defeat so that to make room for their bases to select new leaderships. In an interview published by Al-Bilad newspaper, the sheikh added we expect that leaderships of the JMP to resign out of respect for the bases of their parties and because of the votes they have got in order to provide opportunity for the young members in their parties to step forward for the revival of democracy in a way guaranteeing those parties continuation. This is what happens in many of the world countries and it is a normal thing, Sheikh Al-Shaef said.
He said the level of freedoms in Yemen can be felt by all through the freedom that accompanied the election process in Yemen.
