Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf received on Tuesday in Sana'a the charge d'affaires of the Iranian embassy in Yemen Mohammed Frehat.

The meeting focused on discussing the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing them.

The meeting also focused on the decision of the new American administration decree concerning the prohibition of entering USA for the seven countries "Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen".

The meeting affirmed that Yemen and Iran rejected any allusion or indictment of these countries of terrorism or describing its citizens as terrorists or extremists.

The meeting also discussed the outcome of UN Special Envoy Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed and his latest report to the Security Council.


Sharaf affirmed the rejection of the Supreme Political Council and the government of national salvation for any attempt to disturb the Yemeni people.

He stressed that the United States are doing this action despite its knowledge of the countries that supporting terrorism.
