Almotamar.net - Former President, the President of the General People's Congress (GPC), Ali Abdullah Saleh, called on the Yemeni people to maintain steadfastness to strengthen national unity of home and unite the ranks, the word and the position to thwart the enemies' plots and defeat them politically and militarily.

The GPC president in a speech to the nation on the eve of marking second year anniversary of steadfastness against the Saudi-led aggression coalition, he praised the steadfastness of the Yemeni people, heroes of the army and popular committees in the face of the aggression despite the sacrifices and challenges.

Saleh affirmed that confronting Saudi is a moral and national responsibility.

"Despite our call and extend our hands for peace, the aggression continues to kill children, women, youths, elderly, the sick, and bomb citizens' homes and farms," Saleh said.

"The free Yemenis will continue to stick to the option of confrontation and resistance as long as the alliance of the aggression led by Saudi continues its arrogance against our people," Saleh said.
