almotamar.net - SANAA-Yemen cabinet discussed Tuesday in its meeting the primary draft of the executive package of President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s election platform’s axes. President Saleh announced his platform during the presidential elections held in Yemen on 20 of last September.

The cabinet has formed ministerial committees for various axes to accurately and realistically study mechanisms of implementation at both central and local levels that guarantee field implementation coinciding with realization of the goals included in the premises. In this regard and in the light of discussions the premier issued a decision on formation of ministerial working team for each axis. The axes included the reform and developing of legislative and legal system, trade and investment and evolving the promising sectors, the system of developing religious, national and education development, development of infrastructures and improvement services of public utilities, judicial reforms and enhancement of security and stability, economic and administrative policies and consolidation of decentralization, development of human resources, alleviation of poverty and limiting unemployment, enhancement and development of relations of regional and international cooperation, information and guarantee of freedoms and protection of rights. The decision stipulated that the whole package has to be ready at the first meeting of the cabinet immediately after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

The cabinet also approved the final account of the state general budget for the year 2005 which included the total quarterly revenues of the state general budget and the actual t0tal expenditures. The cabinet also approved the final accounts of the independent and supplement budget and budgets of specialized funds, units of public and mixed economic sector for the last fiscal year. In addition the cabinet approved draft laws of inking them and entrusted the minister of legal and state affairs for parliament and shoura council for coordination with the minister of finance for completing constitutional and legal measures with regard to the final accounts and following up origins of the draft laws.
The council of ministers has approved the tender on purchasing 100 MEHA WATT of electric power with the aim to make u for the present shortage in power generating of the electric network.
The cabinet agreed a tender for the building of centers for vocational training in the city of Zabid, Hudeida governorate. The project includes the building of five teaching workshops, administrative and educational buildings, teachers and students lodging, dining hall, kitchen and store, as well as other facilities.
O the other hand the cabinet approved completion of consultations on tenders and biddings draft law with international consultants and it is expected to decide the final formula in twenty days.
