By: almotamar.net - SANA'A- Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Bajammal issued orders to form a committee for preserving historic cities in an effort to make a thorough study on Preserving Historic Cities Law, and make any remarks or comments on the law before submitting it to the Cabinet for final approval. The committee is to be chaired by Minster of Information Hassan al-Lawzi, while the ministries of culture and tourism, legal affairs, public labors and highway, higher education, general-secretary of the capital secretariat, deputy minister of civil service and chairman of preserving historic cities committee will be members in the committee.
Chairman of Preserving Historic Cities Dr. Zaid Essa expected that the law would be approved at the end of 2006. He affirmed the law would solve many problems that hinder the tasks of the committee as it includes regulations that protect the civil heritage.
