By: almotamar.net - ADEN- President Ali Abdullah Saleh Monday warned of price-rigging, affirming the rise in prices is unjustifiable, ordering the government and ministry of trade to take responsibility of any price rises. Saleh also ordered chambers of commerce and industry to hold an emergency meeting in the coming twenty four hours to fix prices and put an end to any price rise.
At an Iftar meal, Saleh said, "Of course, freedom of trade is our policy, but citizens shouldn't fall victim to some greedy tradesmen."
In his speech, Saleh congratulated attendants on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the October Revolution and the success of elections held last month. "Elections were a great success and nice political battle. We extend our congratulations to all Yemeni people on such democratic celebrations. Let completers vie and the triumphant is our people."
Saleh confirmed the Yemeni Unification is as fixed as mountains, adding that "After reunifying the country on 22 May, several elections were held, parliamentary, local council and presidential elections."
