almotamar.net - Ministry of industry & trade official source said a meeting chaired by deputy premier, the minister of interior Dr Rashad al-Alimi to be held Tuesday evening to study measures for the implementation of the president’s directives pertaining the monitor the supplies situation and price movement in the markets.

The source told almotamar.net the meeting is to include the ministry of industry and trade and the general federation of chambers of commerce and industry, merchants importing necessary food commodities and consumer goods and producers. He added the meeting is to study the directives of the president of the republic in order to put them into force.
Meanwhile a source at the general federation of the chambers of commerce and industry of Yemen an emergency meeting to be held Tuesday t discuss the question of fixing prices. The meeting is in response to the call given by President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Monday evening to thenchambers of commerce and industry to convene within 24 hours.

President Saleh had warned merchants against consequences of price manipulation and given his directives to the government and the ministry of industry and trade to shoulder their responsibility regarding the rise in prices, confirming prices rise has absolutely no justification. The president also demanded the chambers of commerce and industry to hold an urgent meeting in 24 hours for fixing the prices and putting an end to the unjustifiable increase of prices. .
