The UAE Red Crescent Society's campaign will reach Yemen tomorrow to combat malaria and eye diseases whereby eye-operations will b conducted, in collaboration with the Yemeni Ministry of Health.

Khalifa Nasir Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the RCS said:" The campaign is part the RCS's programme to reduce the number of casualties and death resulting from malaria and to control the spread of blindness in the country while raising health levels there".

"The RCS has adopted humanitarian initiatives which have established the position of the UAE worldwide. It has through the support President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and follow-up of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the RCS, provided help to great segments of beneficiaries in the UAE and abroad", he said.
