Almotamar Net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Wednesday with the Italian Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu who is
currently visiting Yemen.
In the meeting, Saleh discussed with the Italian minister aspects of the bilateral relations and fields of the mutual cooperation
especially in field of fighting terrorism in accordance with the security agreement singed between the two friendly countries.
The meeting also discussed results of the Yemeni-Italian talks which were held in Sana'a
by the two interior ministers of the two countries.
The two ministers discussed ways of enhancing the security coordination and fighting terror in sphere of information exchange and the CoastGuard.
For his part, the Italian official confirmed his country's concern to enhance its relations with Yemen through cooperating efforts of the
twocountries in field of fighting terror.
He voiced the Italian support for Yemen in this regard, saying that Italy and Europe are interest in security and its stability of Yemen.
President Saleh expressed concern of Yemen to promote its relations with Italy, pointing our that the Yemeni-Italian relations are ancient and good.
He highly appreciated level of the cooperation between Yemen and Italy in various fields
