In his congratulatory cable to President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the advent of Eid al-Fitr, the US president said he is looking forward to maintain bilateral cooperation between Sana�a and Washington, expressing the best congratulations to president Saleh and the Yemeni people on the occasion of al-Fitr Eid. He added he wishes the Eid al-Fitr to be an occasion when good, peace and prosperity the president and the Yemeni people will enjoy.
Yemen had on the 20th of last September held presidential and local elections resulted in the president�s winning by 77.17% of elector votes and the General People�s Congress�s great advance in the local elections.
