Mr. Abdulrab al-Samwi told almotamar.net that field surveys his office made in the recent past period revealed commitment of some merchants to announced price lists and manipulation of another some that will be included in the coming campaigns. He affirmed that restoring prices to the condition before the wave of raising prices requires joining forces of all government parties to solve the pending problems in this regard, praising the response of many merchants and importers of wheat and flour to0 price agreement and giving examples of this commitment by business shops in some districts in the capital.
On the problems some merchants are facing, he said the ministry promised to discuss them with concerned parties to radically solve them and remove all excuses leading to aggravation of this greedy phenomenon in order to take all deterrent means to curb it in q manner guaranteeing provision of goods with convenient prices for the consumer. Mr. al-Samawi added his office is intends to sue more than 800 merchants who were seized violating prices and that future campaigns will be supported by security troops.
