The closing statement of the 2nd joint meeting of the foreign ministers of the GCC states and Yemen issued at the conclusion of its meetings in Sana�a Wednesday evening confirmed continuation of the joint technical committee�s work to follow up results of the donors conference and continuation of coordination and consultation for the enhancement of partnership between the republic of Yemen and the GCC in different ministerial and technical levels as well as entrusting the GCC secretary general with submitting periodic report on the progress to be achieved in this regard.

The meeting also approved mechanism of offering assistance to the republic of Yemen including the proposal presented by the state of Qatar to the next meeting of the financial and economic cooperation committee to be discussed and all that in coordination with the Yemeni government.

The final statement of the second meeting of the GCC-Yemen foreign ministers was read out by the GCC secretary general Abdulrahman al-Attiyah in a press conference he held with Yemen�s foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi in Sana�a Wednesday evening. The statement praised the steps taken by the republic of Yemen government for the improvement of the investment environment and achievement of goals of the economic and social development that will help the process of the Yemeni economy integrate with economies of the Arab GCC states
