almotamar.net - SANAA-Head of the General People’s Congress (GPC)’s Intellect, Culture & Information Office Tariq al-Shami has expressed hope that the opposition Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in Yemen to deal with the call of president Ali Abdullah Saleh on folding the past page seriously and to begin a new stage of cooperation and to move to responsible and constructive address.
Commenting on the address of the JMP following the election process held in Yemen on 20 Sept. 2006, the GPC’s official supposed that the officials at the JMP would avoid production anew the same political approach or the same political stupidity which he said they practiced during the past period especially during the election period.
In an interview published I Al-Wahdawi newspaper Wednesday, Al-Shami warned leaderships of the JMP against consequences of ignoring results of the elections and not comprehending their lessons, advising them on the necessity of making a serious critical study of their performance during the previous periods in order to know those who caused the mistakes. He said otherwise the parties of the JMP and those leaderships would be facing great disappointment in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
