Al-Habbari made it clear that the prices of wheat raised by 55 percent in global markets, which affects the prices in Yemen, sating the government of Yemen has removed all the customs tariffs of the wheat.
According to al-Habbari, wheat in the Yemeni market is sold at $200 per ton, including the grinding expenses, while $ 565 for the American wheat, $ 271 Australian wheat, and $ 247 European wheat.
A statement issued by the Yemeni Chamber of Commerce and Trade states that over the past three months, wheat prices raised as the crop decreased by 40 million ton.
