almotamar.net agencies - SANAA- News reports mentioned that an explosion happened Saturday evening in a unit for transporting oil in Shuaiba oil terminal in south Kuwait causing eruption of fire and complete evacuation of the site.

The BBC correspondent said the explosio9n resulted in damage but seemed not to cause casualties.
A spokesman for the Kuwaiti National Oil Company said the blast did not cause casualties. He indicated that he does not believe a terrorist act was behind the explosion.

An investigation was initiated to determine the causes of the incident which has been dealt with as an incident caused by a technical problem.
Al-Shiaiba oil installations produce around 200 thousand bpd of Kuwaiti oil and it is the smallest installation in the country.
