The draft law included 47 articles aimed at formation of a higher national body possessing authorities of fighting corruption and chasing hose who practice it as well as staving off its dangers and impact. The authorities also include retrieving the money and whatever entails practicing it, enhancement cooperation with countries and international and regional organizations in international programs and projects aimed at prevention and combating corruption, consolidation the principle of decency and transparency in economic, financial and administrative dealings in the way guaranteeing achieving rational management of the state property and the best use of them.

The law also aims at activation of the principle of accountability and monitoring role as well as easing for the individuals in measures of obtaining information and reaching the concerned authorities, encouragement of civil society role in active participation in preventing and fighting corruption in addition to educating members of the society on its causes and dangers.

Provisions of the law cover all crimes of corruption that all or part of them occurs inside Yemen and outside it. The law includes five chapters. The first chapter is concerning general provisions, the second concerns the higher national body on fighting corruption, the third measures related to procedures of combating corruption, the fourth deals with crimes of corruption and punishments, and the fifth includes final provisions.
