Google Alerts - The Gulf Research Center (GRC) will host a closed-door symposium in Dubai on Thursday, November 9, to discuss issues related to Yemen's admission to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

'The main objective of the symposium is to manifest the importance of historic and cultural relations between Yemen and GCC countries and discuss strategic, security and political issues and developments associated with Yemen's GCC membership to the bloc in the future,' said the GRC Chairman, Abdulaziz Sager.

The event will be attended by senior officials from the GCC and Yemen, as well as regional experts.

The symposium aims to focus on the requirements of Yemen's development qualification, the funding needs and the nature of joint economic, political and strategic achievements to help in the country's accession process
