Saudi authorities clarified those measures came at backdrop of information they got that those political and economic and sheikhs personalities travelled to Libya several times and held meetings with Libyan intelligence with the aim of planning for terrorists acts and activities hostile to the kingdom.

Elaf website mentioned that the Saudi authorities handed over to Yemen and neighboring countries a copy of the accused list just for information and did not ask handing over anyone. The website quoted its sources as mentioning that the Saudi circulation to its security bodies included orders to arrest any of those personalities in case they entered its territories or in case they could arrest them in any other place. The last phrase appears to allow Saudi intelligence authorities coordination and communication with other countries for arresting the personalities.
