By Nabil Abdul-Rab (almotamar.net) - SANAA Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmer, speaker of the parliament, adjourned today’s parliament session as the general people’s congress parliamentary bloc members refused to discuss any issue, for the head of the political security apparatus, Ghaleb al-Qamesh, didn’t attend and reply to the accusation of MP Ahmed Saif Hashid against members of the political security who detained him for one hour last October.
Al-Qamesh apologized- in a letter that was read before the parliament members- he wouldn’t attend the session, demanding the minister of interior be summoned as he is the head of the higher security committee.
Hashid announced he would stage a sit-in and go on a hunger strike after Monday in protest against al-Qamesh who didn’t attend the parliament.
