Almotamar.net - SANA�A- Secretary general of the General People�s Congress (GPC) Abdul-Qader Bajammal issued a decree to form a committee for preparing amendments to local authority law with regard to electing governors of governorates and heads of districts.
The committee includes:
1-Ismael al-Wazeer- chairman
2-Sadeq Abu Ras- member
3-Yahya al-Rayee � member
4- Abdul-Rahama al-Akwa� � member
5-Sultan al-Barkani � member
6-Abdullah Ahmed Ghanem � member
7-Yahya al-Shuaibi � member
8- Rashad al-Alemi- - member
9-Adnan al-Jefri � member
10- Ghazi al-Aghbari � member
11- Rashad al-Rassas � member
The second article of the decree stipulates that the committee is to prepare amendments to the local authority law, and submit the results to the public committee within one month from the date of issuing the decree.
A source at the GPC said the committee is to start working by holding its first meeting today.
