Almotamar Net - SANA’A- The United Kingdom announced it would increase development aid to Yemen to USD 218 million over the next four years. Minister of planning and international cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi said this rise in aid represents 300 percent comparing to the aid over 2004-2005, which amounted to $ 20 million. In a statement to Saba News Agency, al-Arhabi said the rise in British aid coincides with the donors� conference which is hosted by the British government. The UK is determined to increase its aid to Yemen to $ 100 million by 2011, the minister added.
