By: Jamil al-Jadabi(almotamar.net) - SANA'A- An armed gang has failed to rob antiquarian treasures under a historical mosque in Dhibeen district, a government official in Amran governorate told almotamar.net.
Head of Dhibeen district Ali al-Ghuzzi said unknown persons yesterday dig up an ancient dome near Dhafar mosque which was built 800 years ago.
A government committee was formed to visit the mosque. A security official in Amran governorate said the criminals tried to destroy the dome in search for antiquarian pieces.
