Almotamar Net - SANAA- An official source at the Ministry of Interior denied the news that said a number of prisoners suspected of having links to  al-Qaeda terrorist activities  had escaped from the premises of the political security in the governorate of Hajjah, north- western Yemen. The source affirmed a group of prisoners tried to escape from the detention but were seized in the same day, and that they [prisoners] had no links to al-Qaeda, but rather people who were seized as they tried to enter the country illegally. The concerned authorities are preparing to deport them to their countries according to the laws of those countries.
The source asked media to make sure of the authenticity of news and information.
Al-Sahwa news website has reported that security forces in Hajjah arrested nine prisoners, among them Saudis, who tried to escape from the detention of the political security. The website quoted some security sources as saying the prisoners were arrested hours after their escape, where security forces arrested them in a nearby mosque.
