Al-Bashi said Yemen moved forward in the field of child rights, especially as it handles child trafficking, juvenile law, and education rights of the disabled.
The government's decision to make birth certificates free of charge helped increase the number of registered newborns from 180,000 to 320,000, al-Bashir noted.
He unveiled UNICEF and the Swedish organization cooperate with the ministry of education in preparing a manual on alternatives to physical punishment in school.
Speaker of Child Parliament Nada al-Sheraei called on the adults Parliament to much care for recommendations and reports made by her parliament, criticizing the government for not interacting with children's concerns
