Nabil Abdul-Rab (almotamar.net) - SANA'A- The Parliament today discussed the draft law of amending some articles of Law No. (33) for the year 2002 with regard to water and environment committee.
The Parliament agreed unanimously on the law articles, save article No. (71).
Amendments aim to activate the law role in protecting water resources from being depleted, with raising awareness on using water in a rational way, and controlling arbitrary digging water wells, as well as intensifying punishments against those who repeat violations. Out of 82 articles, only 36 articles were amended while two others were recently approved.
