Almotamar.net- - SANA'A- Editor-in-Chief of al-Jumhurriyah Newspaper Sameer al-Yousofi demanded Yemeni Journalists Syndicate to intervene and stop the insults leveled at him by some journalists who do not perform their duties.
In reply to a letter of complaint of some editors who asked for improving their status, al-Yousofi said "There are, unfortunately, some colleagues who are working outside the frame of their basic duties but we encouraged them to work, with giving them all advantages even at the cost of their diligent colleagues at work, but they didn't stick to their duties."
In a statement, of which almotamar.net received a copy, al-Yousofi added, "We asked some colleagues to stick to working hours and fulfill their tasks, but much to our surprise, they refused to, and launched this campaign of defamation as published on some news websites."
Is it to give rewards and merits to those who don't work, al-Yousofi wondered.
Al-Yousofi called on the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate to form a committee to look into the editors' demands and compare them to what they have achieved.
