Minister of Water and Environment Dr. Abdul-Rahaman al-Eryani will head Yemen's delegation to the conference.
This Conference will be organized in cooperation between ISESCO and the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environment Protection, AME Info reported.

The Conference will discuss the broad lines of the draft strategy for sustainable development in the Islamic world and the general framework of the programme on natural disasters management. It will also examine the project of establishing an environment information centre in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the project of establishing an Islamic environment network and the project of establishing a specialized Islamic body for the environment.

By the same token, Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, will present three reports to the Conference on ISESCO efforts and proposals in the field of water resources management; in the fields of environment protection, health and population education; and in the field of renewable energy. It is also expected that the Conference will issue a document titled 'Jeddah Commitments for Sustainable Development'.
