Almotamar.net correspondent in Thamar governorate quoted the governor Mujahid al-Masly as saying that 189 houses fell on their residents in addition to 5 houses and a school and water barriers partially destroyed. He added that four persons were inhered because of houses roofs falling and more than 100 cattle died in various parts of the district.

The governor of Thamar said the operation of supplying the affected with relief aid was facing difficulty because of road blocks as a result of rock collapse, indicating that the local authorities evacuated the damaged houses and transferred their inhabitants to school buildings.
