almotamar.net, Agencies - SANAA, Agencies- The official spokesman for the Iraqi government Dr. Ali al-Dabbagh stated Monday that the decision of executing Barzan al-Tikriti, late president Saddam Hussein's brother and former head of Al-Thawra Court Awad al-Bandar has been already taken and ready to be carried out and waiting to finish some arrangements before carrying it out.
Al-Dabbagh told the BBC on Sunday the execution will be carried out before the end of this week, indicating that the decision in this regard is signed and ready but there are some technical preparations before implementation of the verdict issued against the two accused persons.
On the other hand member of late Saddam Hussein's defence team the lawyer Issam Al-Gharawi confirmed Sunday that Saddam's notes, poems and writings were still in the hands of the Americans who want to read them completely before handing them over to the defence team.
Lawyer al-Gharawi said the Americans told Barzan and al-Bandar that they were to be hanged on the same day with President Saddam Hussein who was hanged on the first day of Adha Eid. He said the Americans then came to them to say their execution was [postponed and they returned them to their cells in prison.
