Journalist Thabit expressed to almotamar.net his denial about having presided over a meeting of the YJS Council unlike what the statement has indicated, saying " the YJS council or its leadership has not met today."

He affirmed there are efforts he described as positive to solve the question of journalist Abdulhadi, the correspondent of Al-Ayyam newspaper in Taiz and his newspaper that accuses him of collecting big sums of money for his personal interests without registering them at the newspaper's account. It is claimed that the sums are prices for commercial advertisements the newspaper had published before.

A statement was earlier distributed to newspapers stamped by the YJS on Wednesday denouncing what it mentioned illegal practices journalist Abdulhadi was exposed to in his issue with Aden-based Al-Ayyam newspaper.
