almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Thursday the president of Comoro Islands republic Ahmed Abdullah Sambi currently on a visit to Yemen.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting cooperation and ways of bolstering them for the benefit of common interests.

They have also discussed issues and topics related to bilateral relations and the Arab Muslim nation. President Saleh welcomed the visit of Comoro Islands president pointing to the historical strong relations and ties connecting the two peoples and confirmed the keenness of enhancing them. President Saleh also affirmed Yemen's continuous support for the brethren in Comoro Islands and offering a number of scholarships in the Yemeni institutes and universities as well as in the military and security field. He also pledged to offer media, educational and cultural support. President Saleh urged Yemeni businessmen and investors to consolidate ties with their Comoro Islands counterparts.
