almotamar.net - The Specialized Penal Court on Monday decided to adjourn trial of two defendants, one of them Danish both accused of trading with weapons. The trial was postponed for three weeks to enable the prosecution to present the rest of evidence and appointment of a translator as well as informing the German embassy in Sana'a to attend the trial in response of request presented by one of the foreign defendants.

The statement of accusation readout at the sitting mentioned that the first Yemeni defendant A.A. has hidden the defendants who escaped from prison of the political security, namely Fawaz al-Raneei, Qassim al-Rabeei and Hmoud al-Qaeeti and also practiced trading with weapons without having a license from official authorities.

The second Danish defendant A.S., born in Somalia is accused of transferring weapons and explosives to Yemen. During Monday session of the court the first defendant refused to talk and the second defendant asked for writing to the German embassy in Yemen and to bring a translator. Denmark does not have an embassy in Yemen and the German embassy has an interests section for Denmark.
