almotamar.net - A number of civil society organizations and political parties leaderships have completed preparations for holding ceremony marking the fortieth day of the late Iraqi president Saddam Hussein in Yemen.
A spokesman for the Yemeni popular committee on commemorating the fortieth day anniversary told almotamar.net that the ceremony will be held on Wednesday at Qasr Al-Shabab Hall in the Yemeni capital Sana'a.
It is scheduled that the ceremony will be attended by a number of the late Iraqi president's family living in Yemen and others from Arab countries especially his daughter Raghad.
Party leaderships and representatives for Yemeni organizations and a number of social personalities had last week established a Yemeni popular committee for commemorating the fortieth day of anniversary of his death. It is to be pointed out that the activities on this occasion are held by non-governmental sides, at the forefront of which is Kanaan establishment for Palestine, one of the most active organizations supporting the Palestinian resistance in Palestine and Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the head of then popular committee QASIM Salam affirmed the date of the ceremony indicating in a press statement almotamar.net obtained a copy of it that the committee is At a continuous meeting waiting for the arrival of of participants from various countries to take part in the activity in the manner suitable to the status of the late, as the release mentioned.
