Almotamar Net - A number of Arab delegations arrived here today to participate in the conference "Women's Rights in the Arab World: From
Words to Deeds" to be started on Saturday.
The visiting delegations included Sheikha Rasha al-Hamoud al-Jaber al-Sabah,deputy minister of high education in Kuwait. Al-Sabah described the conference as "the first ever initiative of its kind" for its importance at the level of United Nations and European Union.
Al-Sabah expressed hope that the conference comes out with positive and applicable recommendations.
"We, Kuwaiti women, look forward for more participation in all areas of public life in Kuwait and to get organizations and ministries of concerning with human rights,particularly women's rights like Yemen," said al-Sabah.
The visiting delegation included also Tahya al-Rais, chair of National Union of Female Writers in Tunis, Raja Hassan Khalifa, chair of Sudanese
Women Union, Rashida Jasee, head of Tunisian Women Lawyers Association and Sameera al-Sheikh, member of Businesswomen Society for Development in Egypt
