Jamil Jaadabi Almotamar.net - SANAA-Ms Raghad Saddam Hussein praised the courageous and noble stances of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Yemeni people, expressing her appreciation and pride of the great sentiments of the Yemeni people towards her father.

She has expressed her pleasure for inviting her to attend the ceremony marking the fortieth day of the late Iraqi president Saddam Hussein held Wednesday at the YOUTH Palace in Sana'a. The ceremony is organized by the Yemeni People's Committee on commemorating the fortieth day of late president Saddam Hussein.

Ms Raghad also said at the beginning of her address to the ceremony "Your stand today is not something strange for you the genuine Arab people owners of courage, civilization and history"
In the ceremony the address of Raghad was interrupted many times with national chants and slogans and the massive attendees requested Raghad not to cry over her father. Raghad has also expressed gratitude for the stands of Libya and President Gaddafi and the State of Qatar and its Emir towards the execution of her father and also her gratitude for the Arab people from the Sea to the Gulf. She has also read out the last will of late president Saddam Hussein that urged his family to stick to faith.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of Saddam's family members, the son of Awad al-Bandar, the leadership of the Arab Baath Party in Yemen and a large audience of Yemenis. A number of speeches were also delivered in the ceremony by the committee organizing the ceremony and also for the lawyer of Saddam.
