almotamar.net - Security authorities in Yemen seized a commercial ship offshore Mokha in the Red Sea waters.
An official source in Hudeidah governorate told almotamar.net Zaeema Baghdad was seized last Monday, loaded with motorcycles, cigarettes and fireworks smuggled from the state of Djibouti.
The source pointed out that the seized commercial shipment includes 200 motorcycles, around 1200 boxes of fireworks and about 1500 boxes of cigarettes, indicating that the ship is retained now with customs authorities.
This is the second seizure operation in one week of a ship carrying smuggled goods to be captured by Coast Guard troops in the Gulf of Aden last Wednesday. This ship is called Al-Zaeema- Naseem Al-Faraj. Its smuggled shipment included 325 boxes of motorcycles, 1253 boxes of foreign cigarettes, 1004 sacks of white sesame, 56 boxes of various motorcycles spare parts and 325 boxes of motorcycles machines.
at the time investigations are going on about identity of Al-Zaeema Baghdad, investigations conducted by security at Aden sea port disclosed that the second ship is owned by smuggler A.J. who had been previously caught in smuggling operations in May last year.
