almotamar.net - The Millennium Challenge Fund Board of Directors of the United States of American decided in its meeting on Wednesday chaired by the YS state Secretary decided enlisting Yemen among the states benefiting from aid program for qualification to the Millennium Challenge Fund.
An official source at the Yemeni embassy in Washington told almotamar.net that Ambassador Abdulwahab al-Hajry received Wednesday a telephone call from the president of the NCF congratulating him on the decision of the board of directors decision of including Yemen among the states benefiting from its aid program for qualification to the MCF.
The MCF president said Yemen carried out significant reforms in the past period and the board's decision comes in response to those reforms.
The Yemeni ambassador has on his part appreciated the board's decision, expressing Yemen's looking forward to working with the NCF establishment for Yemen's obtaining of its assistance and to benefiting from it in the improvement of its investment program and attraction of foreign investments as well as creation of job opportunities.
