Jamil Jadabi almotamar.net - A government official said the phenomenon of child smuggling abroad for labour in Saudi Arabia has dropped since the beginning of this year by 80%.

Director of Social Affairs and Labour office in Hajjah governorate attributed that recession of the phenomenon to intensification and doubling of efforts of concerted parties and activation of means of cooperation and coordination among security and judicial authorities. He pointed out in a statement to almotamar.net that there is a toughened security monitoring to abort operations of smuggling in the area of Hrdh on borders.

The official source Haitham al-Haidari said the security authorities have lately sent 31 cases of child smuggling to the general prosecution. The cases were about smuggling children to Saudi Arabia for work.
