almotamar.net - Fifteen parliament members demanded Saturday the parliament chairmanship to set up a fact-finding committee investigating complaints of Jaashin area, the governorate of Ibb, citizens of being deported by force from their houses by their sheikh. Some citizens of the same area supporting that sheikh last week staged a sit-in in front of the parliament building.
In response to proposal by the vice speaker of the parliament Yahya al-Raee for giving chance to general prosecution and the ministry of interior for investigation and reporting to parliament on Wednesday according to constitution and law, some members of the parliament protested and that caused stop of the session for about quarter for about quarter of an hour.
The parliament decided to postpone formation of the committee and to listen on Sunday to report by ministry of interior pursuant to letter the parliament chairmanship had earlier sent to general prosecution and the minister of interior.
On the other hand the parliament entrusted the justice and endowments committee to go to Aden today to investigate into report by head of the YSP bloc in parliament Aydarous al-Naqib on an attempt of digging in the cemetery of the victims of 13 January 1986 events in Aden. Al-Naqib had called for forming a committee for investigation.
The MPs also reviewed Saturday the draft law on interval trade in the light of a report by external trade and industry committee.
