almota,ar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC)'s General Committee has approved Thursday amend emends pertaining to local authority draft law and rectification of status of those joined the GPC in governorates and districts, among them is Dr Ahmed Ubaid Bin Daghir accession to the GC parallel to his former post at the Yemeni Socialist Party. .

Sheikh Yasser al-Awadhi told almotamar.net the meeting the GC held under chairmanship of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the leader of the GPC on Thursday morning approved the formation of a higher organizational committee for early preparation for upcoming parliamentary elections. The meeting has also approved a working paper for dialogue with the Yemeni political parties and organization on a project of future political and social accord for Yemen.

He said amendments made by the committee entrusted with those pertaining to the local authority draft law, especially regarding election of governors and heads of districts in the upcoming stage was approved by the meeting.
