almotamar.net - The Vice President Abdrebeh Mansour Hadi chaired Sunday a meeting of the Higher Committee for Celebrations of the Yemeni Republic 17th National Day to be held in the governorate of Ibb on 22 May.

The meeting discussed the amount of accomplishments regarding construction and development within the framework of the increase of the country's gains on the road of comprehensive development. The Vice President pointed out that president Ali Abdullah Saleh's directives confirm acceleration of the rate of production and accomplishment especially that there are financial appropriations and budgets specified for various construction projects and therefore there must be follow-up of all projects included in the extraordinary and investment plan. He said there must be focusing on the projects relat4eds to directly to development of the live of the human in the countryside and the city such as road networks, developed communications, education, health, electricity and water.

The minister of public works Eng. Omar Abdullah al-Karshami presented to the meeting a report on duties accomplishments of his ministry regarding roads and new streets at an investment cost of about one billion riyals. He indicated that work is in progress to finish 44 projects to be coinciding with the national celebrations on the 22nd of next May.
