Almotamar.net - Academics, scientists and intellectuals of Yemen discuss in a symposium organized by Thamar University the role than can be played by academic and educational institutions in the fight against phenomena of extremism amongst the youth and their contribution in the embodiment of values of national unity as well as combating destructive ideas.

The symposium to be held on Tuesday also to discuss enhancement of orientations of the president's electoral platform orientations of combating corruption.


President of Thamar University Ahmed al-Hadhrani said the symposium is to discuss the universities participation in safeguarding the youth against extremist ideas besides conso9lifation of values and principles of the national unity as well as fighting corruption. He affirmed that holding the symposium comes as part of the university's contributions and interests in issues of the society including the dissemination of the culture of tolerance and fighting the ideas and opinions that would not serve the society's issues which are promoted by advocates of sedition who are implementing foreign schemes aimed at destabilization of security and stability and to effect rift among the ranks of the society.
