In the Wednesday sitting of the court chaired by Qadi Saeed al-Qattaa the verdict text mentions condemnation of the fist defendant Amir Jamil, Iraqi national of forging currency for circulation in addition to forging official letters and giving statements that are not identifying him and thus was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment counted from the date of his capture.

The condemnation text also mentioned imprisonment for six years of the second and third defendants Mohammed Rukhais Najad al-Fadhly, Iraqi and Abdulmajid Hamadi al-Jumaily, Iraqi charged of forging currency for circulation. Defendant Fuad Zaid Altam al-Hadaa was given 3 years imprisonment for possessing the forged currency, defendant Qassin Ali Ahmed Humaidan sentenced for 4 years in prison and three years imprisonment for the defendant Saleh Ali Abdullah Faraj.

The court decided the period of imprisonment of defendant Yahya Hussein al-Asnaj in the case as enough and evidence against defendant Ali Qaid al-Shahiri as insufficient in addition to its decision of confiscating all seized object for the state treasury.

The general prosecution had earlier charged the persons of forging currencies and putting them for circulation.
Security authorities had caught the accused persons in different places of the capital Sana'a and found with them large sums of forged money of 500 riyals notes and a machine for printing. The court of first instance had convicted them to periods of imprisonment ranging between three to a year and a half.
