almotamar.net - Yemen Women Federation mark the Woman World Day on Thursday at t the Police Academy Hall with presence of French minister of Cooperation and Development Brigitte Geralldin, expressing its appreciation of the French minister initiative to share the Yemeni women their celebration of the occasion.

In a release almotamar.net received a copy of it, Chairwoman of the Yemen Women Federation Dr Ramzia al-Eryany said the celebration will be under a motor of "Together for the Achievement of Social and Legal Justice". She added a documentary film will be screened depicting achievements of the YWF with regard to the woman and development and woman empowering economically and politically as well as supporting women and girls capabilities.

She made it clear that the film relates enhancement of the woman status at decision-makers position and that 30 out of 33 women winning in local councils elections are leading women in the YWF from various political organisations under support from President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Dr al-Eryany clarified that the Federation is ambitious to be able to carry out the executive plan it has drawn up as part of its strategy by the end of 2007, the most important of its priorities is the campaign of supporting girls education out if the federation's belief that education is the key for development and enlightenment of the countryside society.
